Internal Surgery

First I want to give honor to God for allowing me to be able to be here and for allowing me to be a vehicle to bring forth this message.

The scriptures I will be siting from are Psalm 51:10,17 and Galatians 5:19-25

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Galatians 5:19-25  The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

I am speaking from the subject Internal Surgery.

When something is wrong with us such as a sickness or a virus we normally try to remedy it the best way we know how. We might even try some home remedies that have been passed to us along the way. Sometimes those home remedies wont work and we need to see a Doctor to find out what is wrong. The Doctor usually checks our vital signs and if needed will run a series of tests to give you the correct diagnosis. The Doctor gives you the diagnosis and tells you that it is nothing more than the Flu virus and gives you instructions on what to do to nurse yourself back to health. You discover that the prescription the Physician gave you is not working and you are getting no better. You receive a phone call from the Doctors office and they tell you that you are in need of another test because they found something else wrong but dont quite know what it is. After they ran the test you are then informed that you need to see a specialist and their is nothing that can be done by a normal Physician.  That specialist informs you that you need to have Internal Surgery.

[Note] I want to let you know that sometimes our physical condition runs parallel with our spiritual condition

Now let me summarize this for you from a spiritual perspective. You felt sick and or unusually bad and you tried to fix it yourself but it didnt work. Some of those remedies that you tried at home actually gave you the understanding that you need more than just those home remedies in this case you need more than just prayer. Which indeed led you to the place which is the church where you needed to get your check up.  You've been given your routine check ups from the   Physician which in this case is the Pastor delivering the message unto you. The word of God is the tool that he used to give you your check ups and  to run the tests.  The diagnosis has been given to you indicating that you need to see a specialist and their is nothing more that the Pastor can do but show you how to get to him.

I want to turn your attention to the specialist that will perform your surgery that specialist is Jesus Christ.

Jesus says that you need a clean up on the inside. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me

Jesus is saying that there is more to be done you are broken on the inside, your spirit is broken, your heart is remorseful and broken and he says I will not despise it. Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

[Note] Just like you have to prepare for surgery getting your mind and body ready. Willing to go through the surgical process is the same as submitting and being willing to let Jesus operate on you.

Jesus begins to operate on you and he is cutting, trimming, and stripping away those things you dont need on the inside. Galatians 5:19-21  The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

After your operation you will be instructed to follow some guidelines that will help you not to make yourself vulnerable that could put you back into that infected state that you were once in. Here are your instructions Galatians 5:22-25 the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Everybody needs to see the specialist everyone of us has a need for Jesus the Savior. We all have some things to change, to be delivered from and to work on. Let Jesus operate on your mind and on your heart. Let him transform your life.
To those who have not accepted Christ it is not to late you can accept him right now. You must know that you are a sinner and repent asking for forgiveness with a remorseful heart. You must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ came to earth as a man to die on the cross for your sins. That he rose on the third day and that he is the only one that has the power to save you and will save you.

If you dont know what to say here are some helpful words. Say Jesus I come to you as a sinner and I ask you to forgive me for my sins for everything that I have done against your will. Wash me and cleanse me purify my heart Lord and make me whole. Jesus I confess and believe in my heart that you died on the cross for my sins and you are the one who can save me. I believe that you rose on the third day and I want you to come into my heart Lord I want a relationship with you.

For those who may have walked away who are in a backslidden state it is not to late for you either the same goes for you to you can recommit yourself right now.

If you have accepted Jesus into your life just now then praise God for what he has done. Now you need to let someone know what you have done and Go to a church to let one of the leaders there know so that you will have some guidance because this is not a walk that you should do on your own.
